Welcome to SnapSpec (“SnapSpec,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). SnapSpec helps architects, interior designers, and contractors capture product details (e.g., label photos, catalog screenshots) and turn them into structured specifications. By using our Services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
1) Eligibility & Account
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract.
You are responsible for your account, credentials, and all activity under it.
2) Services & AI Processing
SnapSpec provides capture, organization, fuzzy search, and export features for specifications. We may use AI/OCR to extract and normalize data. Results can contain errors; always review before relying on them.
We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
3) Your Content & License to Us
You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, notes, lists, projects).
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, and create derived data solely to operate and improve the Services.
You represent that you have the rights to upload the content and that it complies with applicable law.
4) Acceptable Use
No unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; no reverse engineering, scraping, automated abuse, or interfering with the Service.
No uploading of sensitive personal data of others without a lawful basis and consent where required.
5) App Store & Google Play Specific Terms
Distribution & Subscriptions. If you obtain SnapSpec through the Apple App Store or Google Play:
Billing. In-app purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google. SnapSpec does not process or store your full payment information.
Auto-Renewal. Paid plans may auto-renew until canceled. Manage or cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal via your platform account settings: • Apple: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions • Google: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Trials. If a trial is offered, you will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Contact the respective store to request a refund.
Family Sharing / Promo Codes. Any such features are governed by the store’s rules; availability may vary by region.
6) Pricing; Taxes
Plan prices and features are shown in-app or on our site and may change. Taxes may be added as required by law.
7) Vendor & Brand Features
SnapSpec may offer vendor/brand analytics or featured placements. Unless you opt in otherwise, insights shared with vendors are aggregated and anonymized.
8) Intellectual Property (IP)
All rights in the Service, including software, UI, and branding, are owned by us or our licensors. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
9) Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy of AI/OCR outputs.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or risk to the Service.
12) Governing Law; Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of [choose one: State of Delaware, USA / State of São Paulo, Brazil], excluding conflict-of-laws rules.
Venue and jurisdiction lie in courts located in [Wilmington, DE / São Paulo, SP], unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Consumers in the EU, UK, or Brazil retain any non-waivable rights under local law.
13) Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Service Providers: hosting, databases, analytics, crash reporting, email. They process data under contract and only as instructed.
Payment Platforms: Apple and Google for in-app purchases/subscriptions.
Vendors/Brands: aggregated, anonymized insights unless you opt in to share identifiable information.
Legal: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights/safety.
Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer subject to this Policy.
5) App Permissions & Data Safety
Camera: capture label photos and catalog screenshots via your device camera.
Photos/Media/Library: let you import images and save exports.
Network Access: sync projects, run AI/OCR, and back up data.
Notifications (optional): alerts for exports, sync, or reminders.
Clipboard (OS-mediated): only if you paste content into the app.
Permission prompts are controlled by your OS. You can revoke permissions in device settings.
6) International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. When transferring personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU SCCs, UK IDTA, or LGPD mechanisms).
7) Data Retention
We retain account and project data while your account is active.
Upon deletion requests, we delete or anonymize personal data unless retention is required (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention).
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). No system is 100% secure.
9) Your Rights
Access/Portability: request a copy of your data.
Correction/Deletion: edit or delete your data (subject to legal obligations).
Objection/Restriction: object to or restrict certain processing.
Consent Withdrawal: opt out of marketing at any time.

10) Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect such data.
11) Data Deletion & Account Closure
You can request account deletion in-app (if available) or by emailing privacy@snapspec.app.
Backups may persist for a limited period as part of our standard retention cycle.
12) App Store & Google Play Disclosures
Data Safety (Google Play): We disclose categories of collected data, purposes, sharing, and security practices in our Play Console Data Safety form consistent with this Policy.
App Privacy (Apple): Our App Store Privacy “Nutrition Labels” reflect the data types collected and whether they are linked to you or used for tracking.
Payments: Subscription and purchase data is processed by Apple/Google; we receive receipts/identifiers to validate entitlement.
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
